Adanyah and the Dragon - by A.G. aged 9

Adanyah and the Dragon
                                                                    by A.G. aged 9
On a sunshiny day there was a girl called Adanyah who was sitting down writing notes in her notepad when she saw out of the corner of her eye a wisp of smoke which caught her attention.

“What’s that?” she thought.

She looked closely at the pale smoke, wondering what was causing it.

She knew full well that if you see smoke you always go get a pail of water.

And she did.

“Aarh! Aarh!”

“What?”

She looked ever so closely until a little dragon popped out from the bush with the smoke.

“Are you a dragon?” Adanyah asked.

“What do you think?” the so-called dragon yelled. “You put out my fire!”

“And . . .?”

“Well, it’s very hard to light it up again,” replied the dragon angrily.

“Sorry. I didn’t know it was you who made the smoke appear.”

“Don’t do it again!”
And from then on Adanyah and the dragon were friends and grew fond of each other and stayed friends.
